dont know i hunt rabbits and squirrel on the forestry commisions land, they dont half play feck when they catch me so i suppost they dont

.

Not a good idea posting about poaching lol. Maybe if you asked permission though they wouldnt mind ;) . Im sure i read it somewhere though that they were obliged to control pest numbers.

i know the forestry comission have pest controllers and trapers that work for them and so do the national trust. i think its more of a case on they dont want the lil dirty buggers running round more than they have to get rid their is a law bout lanowner haveing to get rid of pests in their coming from your land and going on sumone elses

Near where i live there a sht loads of squirells in the woods owned by the council and loads of rabbits but they are on farms which are on coal board land and so cannot give permission to shoot....or maybe thats what they told me to get rid of me lol.

Farm owners, I never actually got in touch with the coal board, just seemed like a lost cause if ya get me.

id go to the coal board we do abit off pest controll with work and we test rifles to cut a long story short a farm on nash trust land was overrun with pests and the farmer dident want shooters on their but the trust orderd him to let us on

O right might be worth writing a letter or emailing them then. Infact ill write one tomorrow, it'll give me something to do .

i know land owners are legally obliged to control the number of rabbits so if you got in touch with the owner coucil or whoever and informed them of this they could let you shoot and hope you keep stump or they can pay loads of money for a proper pest control programme id start ur letter as normally but just mention

 

"as a land owner it is your leagal duty to control pests and i will do it for free"

Natural England scrapped the requirement for landowners to control rabbits when they renewed the OGLs early in the year. More excellent decision making from this government

Would the same apply to squirells aswell? I think it should be law that they need to kill all them mangy ferral pigeons off town squares !
