ferretmaniac 5
Just show them the ropes as in take them to a spot with lots of rabbits and decent 1 holers. Net it up and put the ferret down it. It will go itself. Its nature to them. They do all the work and you just wait. Not this time of the year though as there is baby rabbits about. The ferrets are more likley to lie up and you dont want that! Its easy. Its better to show a ferret when its a kit but its all the same to a ferret. Cheers Ferret maniac Quote Link to post

stubby 175
when can i go ferreting again anytime you want, alot give up ferreting when theirs young as it can mean the rabbits wont bolt, and therefore more digging is normal, but as a form of pest control, its all year round Quote Link to post
Cornio 0
Yeah, I never trained mine. The polecat is excellent he was straight at it on his first go. The albino got the jist after a few goes - it's all hard wired into their brains. Quote Link to post
The one 8,555
Its up to you if you want to give them a go in a burrow just now but you can always get a bit pipe and put them in that in your garden pick them up put then down getting used to the noise and movement as theres nothing worse than a sulker in a burrow mouth when your out .
