Guest jt750
Sounds a good idea not sure how it would work tho. I mean how does money change hands for the purchase do you trust me to pay when you get to my place. Do i live where i said and you've been on a wild gosse chase. Ok being honest and decent people that we are what sort of mileage would you charge
Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
If rescues got discounted rates & you could transport more than one at a time you'd have a fair bit of work. We currently rely on switching dogs from vehicle to vehicle to move them to pound from rescue & struggle like crazy when it comes to Scotland or Sth Wales- purely because of the distance. It can take upto 5/6 cars to get from Yorkshire down to th Wales. I know the lad who's topic pinned on here started doing it but havent seen any posts for a while. Make sure insurance knows you are doing it though just in case. I've told mine I have own dogs & transport voluntarily occasionally. You'd need crate s if not already got them- we always recommend crating during transport as it stops any argybargy. Good Luck (pm me if/when you decide what to do) Where rescue dogs are concerned they all go with a transport document- gives dogs details, rescue travelling from, rescue travelling to, any id dogs, papers etc. Will normally make sure dog is wearing a collar as well. I would assume you would want paypal payment or where a rescue is concerned would cash on delivery be ok?? Rescue would need copy driving licence & proof of id & address before allowing dogs to be removed. Edited March 9, 2009 by Doglost Co-Ordinator
