hotdog 8
hi every one just after any tips you can give me, i have a 14month old 1/2 greyhound 1/4 saluki 1/4 wheaton bitch, she is so good in doors and with ferrets a saint, she had an injury which put a stop to her training for almost four months but she is now back to good health and full fitness and has just started on the lamp and caught her first rabbit last week and retreived it to me, but i am having real problems with her recall, she is good at night on the lamp but when i take her out during the day she puts her nose down and just doesnt listen to me when i call her back, i have gone back to basics and she was fine but the moment i let her of the lead during the day she just wanders which is making her a danger to herself and others and im lost as to what else to try. i wont give up on her as in every other way she is coming on great. Hi had same problem with a spanial as i had four dogs at the time this is what i did i found a path that was fenced on both sides then over a peroid of time i let them off along this path i called the three dogs inn that would return to me and ignored the one that does'nt as the dog is running with the pack it started to run back to me with the dog that i was calling back then now and again as the dog was going away with the one i had just recalled i would call it up to me and then made a big fuss of it the big thing is to take no notice of the dog when it wants you to fuss about with it for you to be top dog it has to wait untill you want to give it some time.Hope this makes sence to you easy to do hard to explain.
