littlefish 596
Has anyone started planning stuff to grow this year yet? I have started off some tomato seeds in the greenhouse - last year was a disaster, not many ripe tomatoes, just lots of little green ones - i think the weather was not very suitable. This year i am going to try growing the cherry type that you can grow in tubs and dont need to be staked etc. The spuds are busy chitting on the window sill - last year was my first go at growing potatoes and i was very pleased with the result, so this year i am going to try growing more - the neigbours were queing up for them! I have also started some spring onions - lovely for egg sandwiches and some pepper seeds as well. Nothing like harvesting homegrown produce - can't wait......... Guest Countryboyo
I have onions, lettuce and cabbage started in pots from seeds to plant outside when weather picks up. Also going to plant carrots and scallions and maybe potatoes. With all the shite that goes into food these days I think everyone with the room should have their own vegetable patch. Im using my hens manure as fertilizer.
