polski 0
I've got the predator 8 on my .223, much prefer it to the t8 that I used to have. Rick. Quote Link to post
Guest david1976
I have a wildcat predator8 on my .22/250 and i think it was a great buy. I noticed on the last roe i shot that the noise of the bullet hitting the roe appeared louder than the bang when the bullet left the gun. When not using the moderator i did not hear the bullet hit the deer as the bang was to loud. The man who runs the company is very difficult to deal with and mine took a while to arrive however the moderator is in my opinion well worth it. The only other moderator i can compare it to is the t8 as my mate has one. I tried them both on my rifle and found the wildcat slightly less tinny. It also has the benefit of being taken apart to make it easy to clean and avoid rusting. Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
The P8 is a better moderator than the T8. This is because: 1. It's alloy so it doesn't rust. I've seen 2 T8s which are looking very sorry for themselves. 2. Sound reduction might be a touch better, but note you need the right baffles - so if you have a 22 CF, they do a 22 baffle stack which works much better than the 25 stack, which in turn is much better than 30 cal. T8s don't care so much. 3. You can clean a P8 much more easily. 4. You can change calibre and size on a P8, you can't on a T8. They are similar price. All that said, I have a T8 on my CZ 223 and it's great. P8 on my Remington also great, but the P8's been used on other guns too... Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
ALL of the Above...but each to their own.......consider also the Predator 8 Compact, 590g, 155g less than full length ...(these weights are accurate; weighed, and in both cases heavier than manufactures figures..no surprise there!! ) and does the same job as the full lengh version up to .243 and hopefully .308 as I have now ordered one for that!!
