pig-dogs-boss 0
Hello We are the owners of two rescue Dogs. Buzz the Border nearly 3yrs - he is a bit of a baby and likes lots of cuddles sleeping and running and rough and tumble with......... Coco, pix the pig dog - she is a tiny and I mean tiny brown Patterdale. They are both quite free roaming when they are out and their recall seems to be as good as the next terriers. Is difficult to train Coco in some aspects as other people just treat her like a pup due to her size - to much fuss and attention. Anyway Coco has finally discovered rabbit holes and has gone to ground twice now - Im not so worried about her getting stuck as she is so wee. But I dont always have the forty minutes or so that it takes for her to appear so I can grab her..... Any advice on ways of getting her to come back would be great as I do not want her to spend the life on the lead.... Is meat the answer as reward? Thanks Jack Ash
Simoman 110
I do not want her to spend the life on the lead.... If she wants to go to ground then this is your only option unless you exercise her in "hole" free areas, you can work on your recall but she will still find time to bog off.........
