Tyla 3,179
We had a quick go out again this morning, all started well. We started off using just the dogs and long nets and caught 5, although the dogs did miss a few too! Went to do the last set of the day, netted up with purse nets as its a bad place for the long net, as soon as we entered the ferrets a litter of kits ran out. Unfortunately for two of them they picked a hole right next to where Ollie was tied up watching. He couldnt have been happier as he is a watcher only at the moment and the chance of a kill presenting itself right in front of his nose made his day! We boxed up the ferrets, took up all the nets and went home. Thats the end of my season, might have a few goes out over the summer for the dogs but thats the serious ferreting done with til October. Still, i've had a good season so now its time to dust off the air rifle for the summer! Quote Link to post
Vissertje 0
Tyla, just look at it this way: Here in Holland we sort of had to stop on the 1st of february since the legal season ended on the 31st of januari. The 15th of august the season here opens again. Meanwile there is just the option on hunting for 'damage controll'. Could always be worse Quote Link to post

skycat 6,174
We have only found marble sized young in the does up until last weekend: no young at all yet! so we're still out every weekend at the moment. And the snow has kept the wheat from growing as fast as usual so we'll still be out lamping as well until it gets too tall: so many rabbits round here! Quote Link to post
