folly terrier foot 1 Posted February 20, 2009 Report Share Posted February 20, 2009 Last nite was a good and intresting nite. I got to hunt on new land and it was a good result! When we reched the spot ther was a few about and some runnig around! We got our gear checked to see if everthing worked and off we went to catch some rabbits hope fully!! in first fied the dog got a good run but the rabbit got away this time because of a tree the rabbit went behind the tree and the dog couldnt see it and we walked be hind the tree and it was gone it got away no harm doe as we reched the next field i was lamping this time and there was two rabbits in the middel of the field waiting for troubel. We walked a bit at we let the dog go it was off to a quick start but the dog was well up for it as of its warm up at the first field!! The coursing went on and in the end it was a great catch by my dog cass!!!! We went on to the next field and this is where things got hard! the field was a small one and the outskitrs where corved in cover! as i brused the lamp across the fiel there was nuthing but eyes in it my face light up and i new the dog was going to have a few runs! We came closer and off we went we came to the first one and it just beat the dog...Cass came bk and was reddy for anurther one i checked agin and we were of agin Cass was well on it when we taught the dog had it it sliped and ran to cover the dog came back and i seen two rabbits in cover i kept the dog by my side and the lamp on the rabbit it took of and the dog was off after it in hot persuite!! after two mins of coursing the rabbit it got away i was suprised at the way they all got away but it was a small fiel all the same i thaught the dog did well!! We went to the last filed as we wanted to keep the rabbits in the field for anurd day so we called it the last field!! We hoped over the wall minding that none of the rocks fell!!!!! We got over and ther was a rabbit but there was also a tree that we couldnt get around i hoped for thr best and let the dog of. The rabbit new what it was at and ran around the tree and backed tracked but Cass was well on it and got a nice pick for her self!!! We went back to the van and off we went happy to see that we didnt take all the rabbits and that we new we could come back agin and catch more!!!!!!
