Guest JOEB
I see a lot of talk about so called Genuine blokes......dogmen........hunters ect ect? IMHO handsome is as handsome dose and I have been fecked about by more so called GENUINE people than enough, so what would you class as genuine! Would it be someone who dose things the way you would or someone thats just upfront about what they do no matter who likes it? JOEB

Kye 77
I would say that ANY proper dog man is geninue...they work there dogs hard,...but they care for them like they should, feed only the best, keep them in the best condisions they can, and they love there dogs...they respect there quarry,...not affraid to speak there mind, breed only from the best,...dont pass dogs on that have failed, to go from pillar to post... They might help mates out of a sticky spot...say a guy loses/has his dogs stollen...a genuine bloke will give him stock to bring on or get him past the season... I was offered a VERY nice, well bred male when i was in the UK...for nothing...i had met the guy the day before, and thats it!...of course you could call that stupid!..lol...but i would take that as genuine!.. Kye,..

Kye,.. One exception to that is that I have a passed on dog who failed at what his owner wanted him to do, but liked him to much to give him the long walk. He now has a new lease of life as an exceptional rabbiting, bushing and rat dog and works well within the team. His previous owner did a 400 mile round trip to GIVE the dog away to a good home, I call that pretty genuine in my book JOEB
Guest Geordie
All the lads/lasses who got me into and helped me start with this hunting lark, theyre good genuine people . From the lad who first took me out with my wizzy dog the first time to the lad who brought his furts to my house and convinced the missus she needed some as pets Not forgetting the fella who sent me my first ferret locator,( free i mght add,and i still havent met him to buy him a few pints  ) and the lad who got me my last pup,and most of the lads/lasses ive met inbetween And even down to the fella that gave me a pack of 'wild boar and mustard sausages' not so long back. Basically the ones ive met who get out and do something instead of being on here all the time. The ones i havent met but have chatted to and pm'd and have given me advice about me dogs and me furts. Most of all the ones who you can have a laff and chat with when yer out unting

LDR 29
I think you just have to call it as you see it, get on with the ones you do and ignore the ones you dont.... ...although the other day i had a couple of right dodgy characters sitting in the front room, the only reason i didnt say owt was out of fear for all the biscuits in the cupboard, which i'm told had a lucky escape......

logman 0
We ve all got different methods so how people do things isnt an issue to me so long as people have got the balls to stand by the way they do things. To me the genuine guys give their dogs the respect they deserve and dont treat them as objects to be bought/ sold or(as i saw on here a while ago) :realmad: swapped :realmad:
