Guest vin
Hello all, This might seem daft but... in the early 1980,s when i was a young un..i had a dog called "Lucy".. lurcher ..collie/greyhound/whippet type .. i bought her from a bloke in sheffield might have been called "mr Hunt" . I bred her the 1st time with a Lad from rotherham called "mr Roper".. greyhound deerhound type old style norfolk lurcher..propper good old moochers dog..she had 9 pups that all went out around rotherham etc etc.. second time she was mated with a greyhound called sam from a lad called "MR Emeny"..from whiston..rotherham. .. she had i think 7 pups... all were crackers . couple went to canklow in rotherham.. and 2 that mr Emeny kept, a dog and bitch"Zak and Jess" did really well at the shows and at "Rother valley lurcher club" meets etc etc..they won quite few cups etc etc.. everydog from the litters we knew of did really well.. So i was wondering if anyone knew of my old girl and maybe knew of anyone who might still have any of this line going anywhere.... i know its a longshot... but everytime i see any of the old boys from the good old days they always say that i had the best bitch in rotherham in them days... not that i knew it, i was too busy out mooching day and night. i got some pics if anyones interested. all the best everyone. vin. Guest vin
another question then... does anyone around yorkshire still breed running dogs with no bull in them ? I.E..collie/greyound whippet types.... or bedlington /whippet x whippet types...you know little mooching pocket rocket types.. a couple of my old mates have been looking for a nice little un for ages..but it seems like most of the stuff is bull x types nowadays. all the best all vinny Quote Link to post
