mud / road tyres . what to go for ?

Recommended Posts

ok , im getting a grand vitara in the next couple of weeks and as money burns a hole with me one of the first thing i want to get is some tyres for off road , it's going to be a 03 / 04 shape one

i wont be doing anything too extreme , just muddy fields etc

what tyres are pretty good for the above and not too noisy on the road , how much would i be looking at for a set of 4 ?

once again thanks

I wont go by BF Goodrich mud terrains mate. Great off road tyre, no road noise and you get 50,000 out of them. Not sure of prices but would imagine a set of 4 would set you back £450-500.

have a look at the Kumho range they do the same patterns as the bf goodrich tyers and if you aint going to hammer them then they will do just as good a job. and they are half the price.

I am currently running the sahara model on my def 90. before them it had all terrains on and there is very little road noise differnece just turn the stereo up a little louder.

cheeky git lol the hair dryer will be in the back lol

ive gone for a vitara because the 107 one does 43 mpg on a run which is awesome and plus seeing a few mates vitaras go places where i didnt think they would.

Them grand vitaras are pretty good mate, as a car type 4x4 they are one of the few that have a full ladder chassis..
