rommel 0 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Share Posted February 4, 2009 hi all, i have recently taken on a patterdale who is very keen, i usualy go beeting/shooting with labs but i took the pat and he just wanted to get hold of every bird and shake it, not good, so i would like to try him rattig, any tips on how to go about it, plenty of places to rat. MYDOGSNUTS 2 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Share Posted February 4, 2009 try lamping round barns and beachers that way ya dog gets used to working wit the lamp pluse u may catch more .smokeing them by the day is good but a good joey (rat) can cope wit the smoke for up to 10 min so u mit not get meny over a long space of time pluse u will stink at the end. start of maby wit i pack of good terriers, get a cuppal of kills then push her on ya own . i did this and do this with my dogs and they are ace.
