Wild Polecats (How big)

Driving home today seen what looked like a dead cat in the middle of the road mostly black,our elderly nieghbour has one so being the good samaritan thought better go and check if dotty had snuffed it.

Picked up the carcass and F"""k me it was a wild polecat measure it and it was about 20 inches nose to tail,didnt take a photo didnt have a camera with me but he was as long as both my feet length ways.

 

Caught plenty in traps before one last was quite big what the biggest you have seen or caught ??

Plenty about up here.....some real brute hobs.

 

I caught a rat that was 22 inch tip of nose to tip of tail! It was just last month, and has been photographed along the tape measure etc.
