Guest Countryboyo
Went out for a spot of bushing this morning with the russel. brought the air riffle too for the crack, went a half hour without anything showing, then into a field of rushes drove up a hare, then on to another field and drove up one more, was happy with the dog, head to the ground and flying through thistle, thorn and bush but what surprised me above all was when I shot an old rook on the way home and i sent him out to it and he picked it up and brought it back. Now he didnt exactly want to give it to me and it took a bit to get him to let go of it but i was just surprised he didnt tear it apart. A bit of crack on a friday morning anyway He might make a gun dog yet . Quote Link to post

Guest Countryboyo
get yourself a running dog to work with your terrier mate I hope to have one by the summer all going well. Sed id show how clean the kill was for the crack. I Know the shot has nothing to do with working terriers but if I hadnt made the shot i wouldnt have found out the russel could retrieve. saying that if the rook was still alive when he got there he wouldnt be so gentil.
