jamiethehunter 0
It doesn't matter if a gun costs £10, £100 or £1000 we all set ourselves a budget and choose the gun that suits us best within that budget. Comfort and gun fit are overlooked by many shooters for some people a cheaper springer is the best fitting and most comfortable gun for others it's an expensive pcp. As for whether it kills more That has nothing to do with the gun and to some degree nothing to do with the shooter you could be an olympic marksman and still not kill anything. Because fieldcraft and knowledge of your shoot and the habbits of your quarry is what gets results and whatever gun you choose as long as you practice with it and get to know the gun and it's limitations you will get results. Deker 3,478
I'm struggling a bit with where this is going, there are useless springers and useless PCP's just as there are excellent in each. Production costs tend to be somewhat different in each case, but prices are primarily dictated by what the market will stand and not necessarily reflective of costs! I'm struggling with this status thing, perhaps a Ripley, but I don't see it anywhere else. A cheap springer will not generally perform as well as a more expensive one, same with a PCP, it's nothing to do with the fact they are ALL 12ft lb, it's about weight, balance, feel, recoil, consistancy, fit, etc, etc. The best in the world will not make a bigger hole than the worst, it will just do it a lot easier and more consistantly! Like I said in an earlier post, fire a cheap Springer and an expensive PCP and you will answer your own question! Whether any individual is prepared to pay the extra for this is down to the individual. Quote Link to post
