picked up me pup from hancock i week ago today she is 5/8 greyhound 3/8 collie . the dam was star a greyhound the sire was tweedle dee 3/4 collie 1/4 greyhound. since we picked the dog up she stood nearly all the way home with her head on me mates hand and the last few miles she lay down with her head on me lap , from when she came in the house she was mugged by me kids and beign picked up , she settled in straight a way. what a fantastic pup from the first day, second day looked like she was born here, she had loads of luv to give ,

i have 2 rotties one in one out, she gets on well with me rottie in the house, they are constantly playng , my pup skye is i would say a hard bitch she fights me mates lurcher pup when he comes round and they will eat out of the same bowl as well.

with in a couple of days she new her name and sit,s on comand, she seams a very brainy pup.

3 day we went vets for her first vacination , she was weighed (2.75) KILO

and the vet said she was a nice and healthy pup good bones she had a good checking over. and she was wormed by the vet. she never even budged when she had her needle.

she is such an enerjectic pup running and playing with me rottie most of the day , but sleeping in between ,

she as been having raw meat for a few days now and seems to be thriving on it as well as her iams and plenty of water.

she sleeps sepprate from my rottie at night but in the day she will sleep with her she as boned to us all from day one she would come and climb on any of the kids and go sleep, what a cracking pup we have

i am member of quite a few fourms and have put same questions on each site, even befor i brought my pup. i had a lot of good feedbacks on the people who own and work hancock dog,s which out weighed the people who just don,t like the man him self,it seems a lot of people blame the man if anything goes wrong with there dog, ok you can have good and shite in any breed but if you all thing about what he has done for collie lurchers no one else in the entire world has done as much and made a lot of people happy with is dogs .

now you tell me that if any body bred dogs on the scale he does you would also be put in the same boat,

it is easy to blame other people for your own mistakes, i have had lurchers and terriers for over 20 years and as well i probley caught more stuff dug more stuff than a hell of a lot of people on all these forum,s my life as been pure hunting my dogs have all be top dogs , mostly from pups , if they have not made the grade they have been sold on, my dogs were not pets they were working dogs with the same luv shown as people show pets.

now this pup i have will just be the same or else she,s gone , may sound heart less

but i have me dogs for a reason . that is why i have had 5 years with no hunting dogs i went on to become a biker and led bike clubs , as i had no time to work they had to go but thet went to working homes

in my past i have seen 90 per cent of working dogs i would not even look at my standard was probley to high in them days but so it should be . and a lot of the hard core hunter,s will agree. this is savage style

sorry for the long thread, but it needs to be said ,

hi matey , no it,s me first hancock lurcher, me old dogs were of mates as we worked em hard in them days so pup,s were sold befor the bitches were mated.

years ago i would not have looked at a hancock dog as i though they were far to pricey and and we kept to local dogs that were doing the job properly.

and why i had is one i,m not as hard core as i use to be and are happy sticking to rabbits and taking the odd fox so i realy don,t need the type of dog that i use to have , but if there was some around i would not have a hancock dog, and been out of dogs for so long i felt like a novice , so now i want more mooching type, as i,ve got me guns as well , shotgun bullet guns, air rifle,s . years ago it was an idiction, now its a pleasure . cheers :good: savageboy :good:
