Most important is fish waters that hold the size of carp your after, after that location on bigger waters (20 acres & over) then its all down to good old angling.

And look for gravel bars or some sort of underwater feature fishing cose up to the point of an island in the summer often brings the big fellas in

Have a walk around the lake you are planning on fishing,ask other people who are fishing what rigs and bait ect they are using then you could try some of them methods.Sometimes though it pays off to do the complete opposite to what other people are doing

Mobility , static fishing catches very few fish . get of your arse an walk round looking for fish then fish maggot on a float set up ive allways found this picks up more warry fish . i dont really do much carp fishing now but if i was able to this is what id do in the day stalk with one rod an then decide were to fish at night .
