I have a soft spot for Rugers, (no, not a swamp in Florida), now on 2nd 77/22. That gun will probably be as good as you for sometime, nice.

Please, just remember that that gun can kill as stone dead as a .44magnum, :o , take care out there mate, oh and enjoy :clapper:

Don't lose credibility mate, just over an hour from posting last time that you'd got your gun and now, youv'e got your 1st rabbit, shot it in the hutch.? Keep it real. Cleaning kit from any gun shop or the net.

Or he shot it in a field near his house while zeroing or he could have a big garden with rabbits why have ago at him ?

If you get a chance try some lower scope mounts, keep the scope close to the barrel, especially if you are using subs which you appear to be. Cleaning of these will help to keep them working, but don't overdue the oiling when you have finished, just a very light coat on the working parts!!

Semis are always fussy whether they be a rimfire or shotgun, the right ammo and the right cleaning regime will help!

ATB

There are loads of oils on the market and everyone will have their favourite for whatever reason. I use Parker Hale Express Gun Oil, but frankly I don't think there is anything much to choose between them all!

Apologies if thats the case mate, just that to get the gun out, get togged up, get to some shooting, find something to shoot, and do a full rewind takes me a fair bit more than an hour. At least you didn't say it tasted good :whistling:

Round here rabbits are getting that rare that if i'd got one I'd still be there looking for it's mate.

I bet in a years time you can't stand the stench of them let alone eat one, :clapper:

I had some shooting a few years back, 1 hrs rabbiting = 8 hrs skinning, not local but dam good. Nowadays one per trip out is the norm, (if you're lucky/good)

Good luck :victory:
