(Just out of intrest pre-ban) Everyone will have a different opinion mate but I liked to hold mine back until they were two or more and had a good season on rabbits and such and used to catching. Then started introducing them to charlie with a more experienced dog eventually working up to single handed. But thats all changed now just use the gun now Quote Link to post

cymruguy69 5
Cheers Lads. I know boys who have got single handed dogs so when I go out with them I'll just let him rag the carcasses. Get him used to the scent and so on. Last thing I want is for him to have a bad bight and shy off. Quote Link to post
Guest it's all my land after 12
A GOOD TIME TO ENTER YOUR DOG TO FOXES WOULD BE JULY WHEN THE CUBS ARE GETTING ABOUT THE FIELDS YOUR DOG WILL BE GETTING TOWARDS 2 YEAR OLD AND ANY BITE HE GETS WOULD BE SUPERFICIAL AND AS THE CUBS GET OLDER AND STRONGER HE IS GAINING EXPERIENCE AND THE BITE GET PROGRESSIVELY HARDER BUT HE SHOULD TAKE IT IN HIS STRIDE .
