gqb 0
Hi everybody, There is some exciting news I would like to share with you all and would appreciate your comments on. Read on and let's start talking moderators! A new kid on the block in the sound moderator market that will raffle a lot of feathers as well as bring a lot of excitement to the UK and European shooting industry! A new benchmark in weapon suppression. Quicksilver titanium sound moderators will very soon be available for sale in the UK. The first batch of moderators is being produced as you read this piece. The first run will consist of .22 centrefires, .243, .270 and .30 moderators. These moderators are rated for automatic fire, so imagine what they can do for the average sporting and target shooter! These moderators have been adopted as the suppressor of choice by many American law enforcement agencies and select operatives, so it speaks loudly about their quality, reliability and performance. Unlike most moderators in the UK market these days, Quicksilver started their moderators' design from a blank sheet of paper, and after more than 2 years of research and development have come up with the ultimate in weapon suppression, in a package that is considerably smaller and lighter than anything in the market today. You will feel as if you are using your .22 RF moderator on your stalking or target rifles, and as a result will be able to use much lower scope mounts. With so much R&D and extensive testing under their belt, Quicksilver can make the very bold claim that there will not be any point of impact windage shift with their moderators. The usual bullet drop is about 1" at 100 yards with most factory ammunition loads. The .22 centrefire moderators measure only 6" and weigh an incredible 280 grams, while their bigger brothers in .243, .270 and .30 measure a touch under 9" and a weigh mere 360 grams. Such characteristics will cut to a minimum any barrel harmonics disturbance, and will allow the shooter to use them even when hill stalking. You will be impressed by the performance of these little beauties. It is a new twist to the old adages that "the best perfumes come in the smallest bottles", and that, in this case at least, "size doesn't matter"! Non believers will have to wait for independent write-ups by opinion formers in the specialised press. In the meantime, we are looking forward to comparison tests run by the press. The next batch to enter production will include .22 GSG-5, .300 winmag, .338 lapua, .408 Cheytac, .450 Bushmaster, .50 Beowulf and .50 BMG sound moderators.
