MickC 1,825 Posted April 19, 2006 Report Share Posted April 19, 2006 true.I went through a few pair of scopes on my HW 90 a few years ago but I bought a dampa mount from Theoben and a beter quality scope and have not had any problems since.A few people I know have 177 springs fitted to there guns and the only noticeable difference was the extra effort to cock the gun.Also if you have a gas ram fitted it will give the gun a different recoil from the spring.Some people love them and others hate them.
