k9delboy 138
Ihave 2 of the old Gray Deben boxes that i used today whilst ferreting. they are only picking my collars up to a distance of 4 to 6 feet. I have tried all 4 of my collars and each one is same. Anyone help or know of someone who can help. I changed all batteries but still no joy?. 2 collars are 8ft and 2 are 15ft. Do these boxes ever need calibrated or serviced. I have had them a long time. p.s. bolted 14 and dug one today. was good fun.

redeye jedi 39
sounds like they need recalibrating mate, you can do this with a tape measure and a small flathead screwdriver. this can happen when people turn the volume wheel to fast over a period of time. redeye jedi 39
the problem with that is these things are quite old and accidients will happen, if you cause damage to someones equipment the parts just aren't availiable to repair without the possibility purchasing a whole new unit. i for one dont charge people i know for fixing things and never will do as a favour is worth more than a few quid in my eyes.
