Halfinch 51 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Share Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) What a day i've had today, Recently walked over some new permision and found a couple of nice looking bury's, So today was the day! Picked up a friend of mine who had been with me once or twice before and he bought his son along (18yrs). Thought that would be ideal as the bury has a fence down the middle of it. So got to the first one and netted up a nine holer, Put the ferrets in and 2mins later found out the bury was a 10 holer not just one rabbit though, but two. argh. Nevermind, shit happens and the ferrets were still down, next thing, bang one in the net, my mate picks it up, he's on the other side of the fence and feck me, he drops it out of the net and the fecker is off Ferrets are out now, so on to the next bury, nets this one another 9 holer. and in goes the ferts 7-8mins and bang one in the net. "don't drop that one i shouted." He didn't, but while he was messing about untangling it another 2 run from the same hole Now i'm mad, "why the F**k didn't you stick ya boot over it???? " "I forgot" he says Grrrrrrrr, But then he is only learning. Ferrets still down and get a mark at 8ft right next to a tree Tried to dig but too many roots, Bollocks i thought, i'll wait. 15 mins later and the fert was back but another lost bunnie So 7 in total and only 1 in the bag, well just one of them days i guess, i ended up having a laugh about it though, i'll get em next time Edited January 2, 2009 by Halfinch Quote Link to post
