i think maybe you are right we should invest in an unhooking mat or something similar but it would maybe have been better for it to be a suggestion rather than having a go like the other guy did we are all entitled to our views but some should be kept to ourselves if i was tell everyone what i think about the way they do something then i would become hated very quickly.

 

just to add have you ever seen anyone lombasting trout fisherman for the way they return trout to the water holding them incorrectly for photos, lying them on the ground and i suggest that trout are not as hardy as pike by nature.

 

ps anyone know where you can get a cheap unhooking mat in glasgow area

scrap last part of last post just bought one off ebay didnt realise that you could get one for under thirty quid

if you didnt want to buy one, you could always put some foam (like the stuff you use for a cot matress) inside 2 black bags then tape them up. i can see what you mean about when people get abit too opinionated though

thanks for that mate but to be honest i didnt realise that you could get one for under thirty quid although i hadnt looked that much before as i only took up piking in the summer and dont really do that much more of a trout man myself.

 

people have opinions and can express them but there are ways of wording things that get points across without causing a war

your right but some people can get abit passionate about their thing.but i do have to say that fish welfare is paramount, unless your gonna eat it then bash its head in :aikido:

if you must know its the onlyone thats touched stone the rest havent been put on the ground so think the best way to be about that is to do it your way and ill do it my way

yes it was one of the barrhead dams but not telling which one
