richie 1
ive recently been noticing that the readings ive been getting on my mk3 are slightly more than what i have to dig down to... so i have just tried something out.. i put my collar on the floor with the back facing me as though it was on a ferret, i then pulled a tape measure out to 3ft & held it above the collar.. i scanned the locator above it & held the end tip to the 3ft mark & found it was reading more nearer the 4ft mark on the display, but when i took the reading from the top end of the locator i found it bang-on.. so my point is when its held to the ground & im reading 3ft, in fact its 3ft to 2.5 ft or slightly less.. has anyone else found that the readings were slightly over than the actual depth of the collar.. ? hope this makes sense edited.. wrong words Quote Link to post

That's a strange one Richie, when you're out with it it's reading less than you have to dig, so the dig could be 3ft but it's reading 2.5ft. Yet when you do it above ground and the collars 3ft away it's reading 4ft, which is the opposite. Quote Link to post
