Laptops

Right i need some advice as to wether i should get a laptop as opposed to a pc. Im in a flat now and i dont really want a great lump of a pc taking up space if a laptop will do the same type of job???

 

All i need it for is coming on here,e-mailing peeps,loading pics onto and putting pics onto discs, going into a few chatrooms etc.

 

I wont be doing any type of work on it,its all recreational type of stuff really.

 

Any hints or tips greatly appreciated,oh but dont get too technical,cos im a thick git when it comes to pc's etc.

for what your after it shouldnt matter whether you go for a laptop or pc, personanlly a good laptop will look much cooler than a pc sitting in your flat.

 

Ihave a laptop and set up wireless router in my pad and bought a wireless keyboard and mouse so i can use it anywhere in the place and you dont miss the bigger keyboard this way.

I work on a PC for a good chunk of the day, last week it went bang so I have been working off my lap top since then until a new one arrives.

 

Just get broadband mate and a good bit of memory and your away.

 

Dell is the kiddy for laptops.

Im on a packard bell one here with broadband too and its no different to my ma's pc, use it for dvds cds etc too and downloading lots of blue Cost about £500 but its better than getting shit to get off the pc.

I use a laptop. You can stick it in a cupboard when you're not using it,so it doesn't clutter the place up.

 

I think I'd have another one if this on blew up.

LAPTOP-- get one with built in wireless connections and built in bluetooth, DVD burner for backing up your DVDs (not for copying movies).

wireless connections are available all throughout our city and give you free internet access.

if u want something cheaper, then u cant beat a desktop, not over here anway, u get a lot faster computer for your $$$ here

 

laptops run slower, HDD spin slower, cost a lot more to get fixed. Games wise desktops are better, well for newer games anyway

 

but then if ur short for space, then u cant beat a laptop
