Guest anonymous
15 weeks, right, usually after 12 weeks mate they have learned everything they are going to.... too late I'm afraid, she'll do it all our life now... Only kidden, just do what Lofti says, you just need to teach her the difference between good and bad. Reward good and frown on bad. You'll find she'll grow out of it. If jumping up is her worst habit, your doing fine. Quote Link to post

Guest anonymous
15 weeks is nothing mate, you'll be pulling the hair out by the time you've hit 15 months lol. I think the worst bit is between 6 and 12 months. They are just at that age when they look fully grown but as daft as a brush and your trying to introduce them to this whole new game, chasing quarry. I can remember a shepard telling me that we had it easy,he reckoned it was easier to teach a dog to chase a moving object that trying to get them not to. I suppose he had a point. Quote Link to post

Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
My alsation/grey x does it & he's leathal. He came out of Dogtrust as a stray & has knocked crowns off peoples teeth, bruised foreheads, & given two people a black eye. I shout 'down' in a stern voice if needs be fold your arms & turn your back to them. It's easier than trying to make them sit cos thats when you tend to get belted in the face. The other thing I did was keep a lead on & stand on it-that stopped him jumping up, as soon as he'd sat I stroked his chest & reward him. He's 100% better than he was, he still has occasional mental spells but on the whole he's loads better. At 15 weeks to be sitting & coming back isnt bad so give her a couple of weeks & she'll be spot on Quote Link to post
doris 6
it may be worth looking at her diet if she is over exciutable. some commercial foods drive 'em crazy. What you feeding her? Quote Link to post
