Advice please

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I called into my uncle's today after work, he was butchering 2 fat lambs for his friend, and he kindly gave me a bag of chops, 2 livers and 2 heads( heads for dogs), grand i thought and on i went. I pulled into shop to get a pack of smokes and met a man who also keeps a few hounds, we talked for a while and he inquired about the blood on my hands, so i told him th craic and he told me not to give my hounds the sheep heads because it could turn them to chase or attack sheep.

Any truth in this, dont want to f**k my dogs up, or is he full of shite. Any comments or advice welcome. :hmm:

my father used to split the skulls using a axe, he then boiled it slowly over night once a week, fed it to our dogs ,which were sheep dogs. dont see the harm in anything thats cooked. asked my dad about this and he said never feed a dog something it can reconise as a food source raw. unless u want them to hunt it
