davyt63 1,845 Posted November 23, 2008 Report Share Posted November 23, 2008 hi every one went up to the local farm permission, arrived at about 2:30pm had to park on the road so thought it would be best to phone for a URN so me CRV wouldn't get towed away. got me self set up and started the 15 minute walk for cover kept to the edge of the field because the farmer has laid crops. got me binos out and could see a dozen or so on the far hedge line so decided to watch them from a far for a while to get the jist of were they were coming and going to so i could set up a good sniper point. any way 45 Min's later started to make my approach hugging the fence line all the way to me spot i picked out eventually got there and got in cover .by this time i was losing light then out of the blue nice big one popped out it was 40yds away as the light was going i decided to take the shot a bit rapid cross hairs locked on and THWACK over it went game over lol. i only popped out for a couple of hours to see what was about then the rain came pissing down so under me poncho and set up me lamp and waited for the rain to stop 20 minutes later then went for a mooch had a couple of more shots on the lamp hit 2 more but when i went to get them gone don't you just hate that? then i decided to call it a day and of home for me roast .
