woha 70yrds with a 12ftp rifle??!!! 1. it surly cant reach that far without aiming 2m above and 2. when it reached it it wouldent be powerfull enough to penetrate. that magpie you said droped. droped because of laughter! il give you the benifit of the doubt though. because thats awesom.

 

We are not talking .22 i was using .177 AA pellet in a 97k v-mach with a 6-24x50 scope, 2 metres above your having a laugh.

 

What ft/lb was the gun producing Ramcam?

 

It was producing round about 11.5 -11.7.

H&N makes some great pellets. I haven't tried the AA fields though.

 

Hey that red box in the pic. That's from Crosman right? I remember using similar pellets in my Crosman 1008 Repeat Air. The box came free as part of the package but I couldn't find them being sold separately.

The red box is those nasty prometheus yellow plastic shrouded pellets that eats barrels great penetration but crap grouping five inch at 17 yards in my rifle afraid to try anymore low in lead. Probably best in smooth bore low powered rifles.

 

Red Box Prometheus was made for Unchoked Break Action Rilfes

Not suitable for Precharge Rifles

What is the best long range pellet .177.

 

On a Windless day in my Sub 12FP HW100 in .177 - Can pick off 12 Bore Cartridge Case @ 60 Metres

with Defiant 4.52's :D

Off a Bipod and Table

 

Also Sweet Lolly's on Stick's - breaks them a teat

Also Clay's from Clay pigeon Shoot........
