Labs and a spaniel

Recommended Posts

Cheers TM, I bought a spaniel from skipton up north paid £400 as a pup the bitch was outstanding, unfortunateley she was shot by mistake, but she was worth every penny, Ive a hancock first cross beardie greyhound £200 fantastic dog, and just bought a patterdale pup nuttal strain £250 hoping shell make the grade.

Im without a spaniel at the mo I love to have one in the kennel, especially with a bit of age on her side. like the one in the advert, but I will be honest at 800 its a bit rich for me, but If the money was available shed be mine without hesitation.

What Im trying to say is for the good working stuff they all have there worth, I just know at this time of year the wife would do me in if I spent the £800, know what I mean uuhhgg

I get you pal... iv got a dog here paid 300 for a 16mth old only 2 weeks ago off a trainer the dog is a f*****g toper and iv bein offered silly money for the dog already where as in 300 is f**k all i got a lethal deal as i bought 2 off him .. just some fine tuning with the 16mth old dog and he will be talking to me he will retrive anything even cold game off land water and the thickest of cover ... no faults there ar some great deals can be got and 800 is not much small bit of work and bang you be geting the same silly offers that iv got.. that lab is 1/3 of the way there

all this talk of what they are "worth" etc....maybe people should stop and think for a minute...to some folk their dogs are pricelss regardless of how "useful" or "iseless" they are...theyy are like family members and no price can be put on them.

swot we bin sayin farlap, but lets be perfectly honest Id say 95% of us on here use dogs for a the particular reason they bought it for, and if it doesnt do the job do we keep it? or try and find it a suitable home. Obviously there are exceptions Im talking reality.

Be honest with your answer I will, if it doesnt do the job I will try and find it a good home. this isnt cruelty this is reality Im afraid.

Would you keep a totally useless dog, answers please??

i bought a 2 year old black lab last year, told was fully trained etc...............no such thing,he will work his heart out for you and now does everything i need from him.

can i get rid of him?..................no the wife would kill me,hes a worker,a pet and a protector for the wife.

would i sell him?..........

no money could buy his loyalty............

Good posts guys this is exactly what im saying i threw the cur comment in just to provoke a reaction lol....fact is i run lurchers as much as anyone...bottom line if a dog is honest and does what you want you cant put a price on it.... i refused £3000 for a bitch not long ago.....a decent lurcher is worth a fortune a good lab is no different!!!

and anyone doubting mike have a look at milister gundogs and check mikes site out....
