you say theres no need for bull x's anymore because foxing is banned,

so why do you want a dog from 'coursing' stuff, when thats banned?

 

I have to disagree mate

no matter what ur chasing it is better have something that is bred to chase. coursing greyhounds were bred for a reason, because others ( racers etc) got injured to easily or didn't have the stamina. And this is the same for whippets.

if i wanted a whippet x greyhound i would want the best greyhound blood and the best whippet blood. both being coursing bred dogs imho. different people have different opinions but i think you are just nit picking here for the sake of doing it.

just feel i need to add to this coursing is not band on rabbits. just every other fecking thing

out of interest what sort of subaru are we talkin here?

subaru legacy is the cheapest way to go mate.They can be picked up real cheap so it wont matter to much about rallying over fields or damaging it.Solid engines in them also.

I was talking a mate yesterday who bred my 11 month pup (off a game coursing dog !!). He was telling me how having been out a few nights recently on the bunnies there is no way in his opinion would he ever have a lamp dog without Saluki in it for the stamina and pure catching ability. This isn't the first time he's said this to me and that gaylord author says the same and he's caught a bit of kit as well !!

ill keep my ear to the floor, if your lookin for a rabbit dog alone, alot swear by the beddy whippit, for the ferreting ability, and just basic intelligance needed for the rabbit game, eg marking in cover, listening for bolting rabbits underground, and also, i have heard of storys about excellebt bushing dogs for rabbits and other game that might lurk in them bas***d bushes! have a think mate you seem very indiscicive all the best what ever path you choose pal, somethimes its good to tkae a chance i did with my little pup that cost me 50 quid, and what a 50 quid it was mate indeed
