pmatty77 26
Hi I got 2 jills, start on a warren thats in the open if you can, handle the ferrets daily until they are tame and make sure they have had some food a few hours before you go,locators are ok but expensive, try each ferret one at a time to start with and try a small warren. will.f11 24
hi mate, if you can, get 2 older jills to start you off. If you can find them it would be alot easier for getting into it. buy yourself about 50 purse nets and a longnet if you can (traditional or quickset) get a locator and a spade, a carry box and all the rest you will need. I found it alot easier starting with lots of stuff, unlike one of my mates which started with very little, and couldnt manage the burries Quote Link to post

Guest Talon
There are a good few books on the subject out there which will tell you everything from housing to health to hunting, should be able to ge a good second hand copy of one one ebay or something, other than that the best advice i could give would be get a locator as soon as you can afford one, before you start buying things like long nets and things as i will guarentee you, you will get more rabbits with one than without one! all the best Talon Quote Link to post

arcticgun 4,548
Try the book by James Mckay, try amazon, spot on it is, well worth having at hand, good luck with building a court and hope you enjoy your ferrets when you get them, atb Richard Quote Link to post
