woodga 170
well ratcherman called we took a quick decision to give the dogs a stretch just a quick run on a few rabbits. ratcher was short on ferret food we knew very little would be out tonight with this big full moon throwing a silvery light on the fields that were still soaked with water still lying in places but needs must ratcher was running flyte my bitch and i had typp we walked across fields that normally hold good numbers but due to the conditions nothing how many times you say to yourself thats it im never going out in a moon again only to have a couple of good runs the adrenaline starts flowing and all is forgotten as you look for your next rabbit which may be in the next field or the next optimism gave way to reality as we had accounted for ten rabbits and i scanned a good field with a valley full of rabbit holes only to see the rabbits sitting close to their setts. time for home at least we were on our way back at a reasonable time and im definately not going out in a moon again :whistling2: well unless its blowing a hoolie two disgusted dogs taking the huff for ending their fun early Quote Link to post
