Recommended Posts

well went out today at dinner ,first hunting trip since i got my s10 back from bsa .

well got to farm had look round nothing so headed to the horse field .which now has no horses in it ,they have moved them to stables field next to farm . more shelter ...

any way climbed over gate rooks flew of stalked down the field hedge to a part that slopes down hill got on my knees .. now wet cold knees , see 4 rabbits feeding got to 25 yards aimed missed lol that distance .. need more target practice i thought . as i got up i saw rabbit legging it down my right side cut of from the hedge , he got 30 yards running i aimed in front of him took a shot ......

it worked ,he stopped droped down on his belly i walked bit closer he lifted up as if to run i fired a shot missed but he layed back down .. got so close i could see his eyes looking at me ... bit like a puppy .. had to try calm my breathing was all over, aimed steady fired got him ... . . was happy s10 back on form attachment=56760:07112007394.jpg]

problem with rifle was losing presure over night .. power was down to 9 ftlb ... so it went back now the power is at 11.6 - 11.7 with aa fields

fired in front of rabbit to see if it would stop ..........

which it did so my plan worked then i could hit it in the head for a nice clean kill ............. :victory:

you shouldnt take running shot. You obviosly injured the rabbit and you should stick to the targets before you hunt, just so your confident of a clean kill every time. ;)

was thinking same thing mate.

you really need to zero and practice at different ranges mate.

not picking at you.

ive had many problems with s10s ive owned atleast 6 ble printed/bull barrells and every thing.

give us a pm as i have a few things i could let you in on to tune it up.

thats if your mechanicly minded,if not leave it alone.

losing pressure would not result in you gettin lower ft/bs it would empty your rifle and would get a 1 ft/ibs may be.

sounds like blown o rings which i can help you with as i get some from john bowkett, youl only ever need 1,there a bit expensive but knowing youl never buy any more is worth the bit more.

just realised, youve sent it all the way back to bsa just for a o'ring mate by the sounds of it.

did you ask the question on the forums 1st?

always ask on the forums before spending money.
