hang & bang 114 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Share Posted November 7, 2008 (edited) woke up at 3am the missis fast asleep :lazy: so i decided to head out four a lamp , at the moment iv just the two lurchers ( as my good blue collie x whippet x hound bitch got poisoned last week picked up some car anti freeze while out lamping well gutted) anyways iv one on trial a collie x whippet / bull hound handy on the rabbits and the 3/8 5/8 bull x im selling four a mate of mine decided to take the bull x and try four a fox (im feeding and walking the dog i might as well get a bit of sport out of him while hes here) walked into the first feild and there sitting in the middle was a nice size healthy dog fox (witch i did not know at the time) i started calling as he was miles out in a big open feild he started to come in hesitation , me mate had the bull x on one those hare courseing slip leads (the ones that set off at the slightest movement) i turned around to me mate as the fox was comeing in and said HERE WE GO WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE he says no THERE HE GOES I KNOCKED OFF THE CATCH ON THE SLIP bolox i said to me self the dog will never run to the end of the beam sure i could hardly see the two eyes lighting up in the distance , i kept calling as the bull x ran the beam right to the end i honestly thought he would pull up half way down as it was a monster slip there is were he met hs quarry at the end he took two turns then nailed him bye the time we got down the fox was all but dead in all fairness it took us a while to run down... hang & bang 114 Posted November 7, 2008 Author Report Share Posted November 7, 2008 (edited) well done pal he looks a handy fox dog and for anyone lookin for one there you go the proof is in the pudding ,top class pal and hows the baby im gonna test the dog to the full before i find him a new home (going diging tomorrow ) had he been a bit better on rabbits i might of kept him hes pulled down ALL game thats why the price is so high as 600 four just a fox dog would be madness , iv not the work four him with all i do with the other type dogs iv there , have a pup comeing in from england on the 25th of asd s jack (minshaw dog x joe oxs bull x should be a handy tool the young fella is flying it nice one the day i walk into a feild with him is the day im looking to most Job well done H & B....,,,ye got lucky... .....
