Another good day

Recommended Posts

Had a good day today, got up and started cycling to the same place we ferreted on wednesday. weather was nice so I collared up the ferrets and netted up our first burry, the same as last time. We dropped in a couple stinkers and after a few minutes we had 1 in the bag. 1 popped out of a hole we didnt net, ran to the next burry, and immeidiatly ran straight back out and back netted :clapper: Then another bolted and did exactly the same but dragged the net down alot thurther. My brother stuck his whole arm down and just about got the end ring of the net, we both pulled as hard as we could but it felt like it was tied to a ton of bricks LMAO. I got out the locator and started to dig, it read at about 3/4 foot. was about 6inches down the whole and the ferret popped his head out( he must of had hold of the rabbit and it was well dead) My brother then pulled the rabbit out and reset the net :) decided to move on after this so we packed up and cycled on up the road to a burry with a nice few conies in it, this was a drystone hedge so was easy to net. There was probable 50 + holes to net so we did that, threw in a couple ferrets and stood back. I was on one side and my bro was on the other. a few minutes later we had one rabbit lower down the hedge, I killed that and stood back, for another to bolt up the hedge again. I quickly dispached that one and just as I killed it another bolted, I ran down and killed it as another one bolted up the hedge again. we took 4 from there and was happy for our 2 hours work. we took all the nets down and went on home. We had a good day and the weather was perfect for it...
