4x4 roof mounted lamp

Recommended Posts

Minion the interior lamps are very prone to leaking, a lot of the lads know keepers and they all leak after awhile... Theres two options ones a window mounted lamp the others a suction bar, personally I prefer the suction bar...

what about a semi-permanent suction mounted one that is operated remotely? ie you can control it from the inside of your cab but dont need to cut a hole in the roof?

they are absoloutly shite i bought one when they first came out i lost my rag with it and smashed it up while out lamping they take too long to rotate and also are prone to falling off and they tend to jam sometimes

oh :(

it woulod only be for lamping roadside would still have the normal lamp as back up and for when on foot, bit unsure now, got a new truck coming but didnt want to cut a hole in the roof, yet liked the idea of something permanent.

click the link on ians post and look at the suction bar version with t bar handle not remote controlled but better for the job and only takes 2 seconds to put on and take off ;)

Yes the suction bar is ideal, the best in my opinion...but the cost soon mounts up when you buy the handle, lamp and then bar your talking £250 or something  ..

ian i already have a 240 blitz, so would that suit?

can it then be operated with the window open and can you buy the kit without the lamp?

cheers TJ
