My ferreting partner has fallen ill and it looks like he wont be out this year,hes 76 and needs oxygen indoors.

The permission we have got over the years has always been between us and until he says he is giving up completely i dont want to go to those places alone,i think that it would upset him.

This leaves me with a problem of where to go, i have a few places but will run out of land by christmas.

Anyone in hampshire need an apprentice aged 47 or got too much land to do this winter?

 

 

mind you, if hes giving up ferreting & youve both aquired the permission then surely you have a say about who you take on the land....

yes. ask him and see what he said. If hes a good friend then Im sure he would give it to you for the sport. Also if you dont touch it the farmer may look elsewhere for his pest controll. Just a thought

My old man was the same when he had his stroke, thought he was gonna walk again he even escaped a few times from the nursing home in his wheelchair , but in reality you know that aint gonna happen. best of luck anyways.........
