Rolfe 2
Recently we had 6 chickens taken in one night, I know it was a fox. More recently we have had 4 more taken from the 10 we replaced the others with. This time I have found 2 of them buried, one in a mole hill untouched, the other under a gate half eaten from the breast. I still think this is a fox, BUT, I have known dogs to catch and bury chickens especially alive... Others opinions would be appreciated. H Fox...........100%...........i often find rabbit legs etc buried in mole hills.......they love burying food. Quote Link to post
murraywatt 0
otters could be a culprit aswell, i know someone who was having bother with one takeing the heads off the chickens and burying them, seen a hen mallard like that aswell next to an otter hole not too sure but maybe a mink although i dont know much about them apart from if you have otters you tend not to have mink and vice versa Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
Methinks fox too If they're being taken from a small area a (I know I rattle on about them) trail camera could photo what ever it is visiting the area. Quote Link to post

Brimmer 220
Sounds like a fox, they'll kill and bury as many as they can when they can, untill disturbed. When hungry they'll come back to them and eat them, sometimes weeks later. Quote Link to post
