Just wondering, my opening meet is tomorrow and im planning on riding out for a day with them... but even though ive been hunting many seasons I have forgotten how to tie my stock!! If anyone knows any links to videos I would be grateful. as I dont really want to just go in a tie as its the opening and its kinda traditional. not that ive been bothered to plat lol. but apart from platting I like to look the part, so any help apprieciated Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Posted October 24, 2008 Report Share Posted October 24, 2008 Put it round your neck and pass one end through the slot, and pull tight, wrap back around your neck again and bring to the centre, tie a granny knot in the centre of your throat and pull tight, pull vertical and fold down the top end and put in your stock pin, then secure the ends with safety pins. It's not the correct way, but you'll bluff it like that, and they'll be too busy looking at your hoss with no plaits to notice your stock!!! Have a lovely day!!
