Guest Corkonian
Anyone know the story with .22LR or MAG in France: is it true that you can buy them over the counter no questions asked? i.e. like pellet guns in the UK? Quote Link to post

Guest Corkonian
I'd be well on for it burnie I spent the best part of an hour on saturday trying to de-cat a tree - and it got away while my mongrels were staring at me clinging to branches They're usually fairly sharpe on them?!?!? All I want is a .22lr pistol - a revolver would do - twould speed things up a bit. I know a few lads that brought them back from Spain on a bike trip - just for protection for their wifes who are well into jogging - that was a few years ago though. I think the law in France has changed so you can't get handguns anymore without a permit? I don't like the idea of firing even a .22 without a backstop so might get a compact air rifle or are there 12ft/lb pistols available? But then with pellets there's a better chance of only wounding and I don't want the moggy making it home like that as I'd be drawing trouble on myself. Quote Link to post
