any tips on how to get my dog to bring the rabbits he gets back to me he was doing it at first but now i go out with my mate and his dog he wont bring them back

treats and do alot of fetch in thre back yard with a rabbit pelt over a squeeky toy oh and also try it in the shooting dog section all them dogs point and bring back back to hand, good luck

You have answered your own question there already! A lot of lurchers won't retrieve when there is another dog present: in fact I'd say it is the fastest way to ruin a good retriever. If you are standing near your mate and his dog when your dog catches, all your dog is thinking about is: "I'm bloody well not going near that dog: he might nick my rabbit!"

 

Go back to running the dog on its own, or at the very least, work separate fields then meet up to chat about what you have caught. That's what we do: work separate sides of very big fields so the dogs can't see eachother.
