sounds ok mate . any pcp will shoot targets 2ox better than a sprinnger mate.

but the ultra is a tiny gun with tiny amounts of shots per fill.

get a airarms s200 there chep realy acurate and a gopod gun they are always up second hand and the 10 shot ad on will improve it alot.

the old scool guys will tell you top go springer but dont listen mate pcp all the way.

Pcp,s are for people who cant shoot properly :D seriously, a springer is every bit as accurate as a pcp, its just 9 out of ten people do not have the skill to get the same level of accuracy. Your technique has to be spot on, to get maximum accuracy from a springer, any muppet can shoot a pcp well.

ye right what you say about a springer been as accurate as a pcp,iv'e grew up with springers and took some convincing into getting a pcp anyway i took the plunge and got a .22 falcon which is a lovely looking and balanced gun but if i was to go out on a hunting expedeition i would rather take what i call my old reliable which is a whierauch 77k 1.77,the amount of game iv'e had with this little gun is unbelevable, but saying that the consistancy of a pcp is impressive, funny you should say that a muppet can shoot a pcp,my cousin couldn't hit a barn door with a springer honestly but if you give him a pcp he's a dab hand,so all you muppets who cannot shoot straight get a pcp.lol

iv shot both in the feild and at comp level and pcp is the future . if springers where so good why do the leading field target guy shoot pcp.

any way back to helping this lad out . yes the s200 will drop anything on the list you provided. i shot geese ducks squirels rabbit rat ferrel cat pigeon ... pritty much every thing with my one .

dont listen to these guys about pcp over springers mate . its a personal choice and its all down to you when your out in the field .

if your going to be hunting with the gun mostly I would try a few springers out and also try a few pcps. Then you decide what you feel is the best for you mate.If you are fine with a springer you will be able to pick a decent one up for cheaper than a pcp :good:

Do your apprenticeship with a springer, use it for a couple of years in all sorts of situations then if you want to move on to pcp you will find them a touch more quiet (spel?).

But deffo get a springer first.

Thats my tupence worth.

Best of luck :good:

Ive had my 1st pcp for about 12months and found it very good for what i use it for but i still occasionally use my springers! Try and get a good quality springer to begin with then once your proficient with that maybe get a pcp. once you can use a springer accurately you will find a pcp alot easier to shoot cos they havent got the recoil like a springer.

Field target shooters DID use springers, for years and years mate, i know, because i was there, infact i shot in the very first series of ft competitions, organised by airgun world/sussex armoury/and NARPA.Pcps, are used now, because they are easier to shoot, they are no more accurate than a quality tuned springer.Infact a tuned springer is actually more consistant, fps wise, than a pcp.I once tuned a mercury, which is hardly what you would call a quality springer, in 177, and from shot to shot, its velocity never varied by more than 7 fps, and it was 3fps more often than not, a regulated pcp cant offer that sort of consistency. The difference is, there is a new generation of airgunners, who have never shot a springer, and gone straight to a pcp, which wont teach them basic skills such as consistency of grip, and follow through, its an ease of use, idle world, and the pcp typifies this. I dont have a downer on them, i,ve owned over a dozen different ones, but i,ve gone back, to a prosport, because it behaves like my cartridge rifles, so i,m more used to it.It doesnt matter what you use, as long as you enjoy it, and hit what your aiming at.
