Tiff 36
when you said she was excited, what exactly did she do? Then you said she was chilled? Being excited around stock is not a good thing with pups. Was she IN with them or was she kept apart by a leash or fence. Have you had her around fowl? Other dogs? Does she know what "no" means in the kennel/house? Quote Link to post
MACRORIE 1
ALWAYS TRAINED MY PUPS ON THE LEAD FIRST, WALKIN THROUGH FIELDS WITH PLENTY OF STOCK IN THEM GET THEM USED TO THE SIGHT OF SHEEP,COWS ETC AND IF THEY WANT TO CHASE THEN A SLIGHT JERK ON THE LEAD AND A FIRM "NO" EVRYTIME THE HAVE THE INCLINE TO CHASE. ALWAYS FOUND THIS METHOD WORKS FOR ME MATE Quote Link to post
undisputed 1,664
Always best as a puppy letting her see sheep cattle etc is fine dont encourage her to get excited around live stock she should just ignore them. After the dog's had its injections walking her through the cattle or sheep on the lead is a good way to break them discourage any interest she may show.
