Strong Stuff 2,171
Hi all, was recently very kindly given a Clulite (suits my needs perfectly, for just having a look around with my 7 month old pup) and a 17 Ah Yuasa SLA Battery. Was looking around for a charger, saw loads of different types and it all got a bit confusing ......... Bought this one and am well pleased, just putting it here as maybe there is someone else looking around at the minute for a charger. It wasn't cheap at £30, but it has 2 rates on it, 4 amp and 2 amp, if you're in a rush, then at 4 amps it would take a little over 4 hours to fully charge a 17 amp battery, but the important bit is that when the battery is charged these switch to a safe tiny trickle charge and can be left on permanently with no risk of damage to the battery. Another plus is that they don't "hum" (like car battery chargers sometimes do), are small enough to use in the house without being whinged at, and I'm told by another lad with one, have been known to be able to resurrect previously dead and unchargeable batteries. Features Fully automatic 3-stage SLA smart battery charger Suitable for motorbikes, remote control vehicles, caravans and many more applications Waterproof - manufactured to IP65 Polarity check Supplied with both fully insulated power connectors and battery terminal connectors For home and professional use The Ring SmartCharge 4 increases battery life and saves costs. Traditional battery chargers can either over or under charge a battery. A fully automatic 3 stage charge cycle delivers optimum battery performance every time. Battery technology is changing and traditional chargers are not always capable of charging some batteries, particularly those in poor condition - The Ring SmartCharge 4 will charge all types of sealed lead-acid batteries plus Gel, AGM, calcium etc to their optimum condition. Maintenance charge allows you to safely leave your battery permanently on charge and ready for use when you need it. The Ring SmartCharge 4 is a fully automatic charger operating a 'Plug 'n' Play' system. Simply connect to a battery and turn on. It couldn't be simpler! Strong Stuff 2,171
Good job, heres what I use. Bet if we were to take them out of their cases they'd be the same, probably loads of different branded ones that are similar. You had good results with yours?
