Guest Rabbitrunner
Yes he's from a strong working line, the sire and dam are hard worked rabbiting dogs... The breeding is mainly the "poachyn"lines which you will find in Walsh's and Lowe's book the "English Whippet" He's been a treat to train so far, and after having lurchers for many years I was impressed. He's 20wks old and will sit and lie on hand signal only, indoors and out, and his retrieving is excellent. I have been out lately on "educational mouches" just getting him used to all the scents, sounds. His marking is going to be good by the looks of things. Jumping is coming on well also as he has been taken through heavily wooded areas where has has to jump over numerous fallen trees and branches with encouragement. All in all I am over the moon with him.. Quote Link to post
