Guest ooty
maybe he shoud try a deerhound beadie x ? the very least a grey after that could be handy? once had a d,hound grey xd beadi grey, was a demon on hare fox and deer but once sliped couldnt be stoped till it killed, all very well but you'd hear a deer scream in the distance and find him covered in it but never find the deer, tryed to pull a train one day and that was the end of him, Quote Link to post
Guest ooty
he was a hansom beast mate but a lieabilaty when not on ones own permission, often used to have to make a lot of noise to call him back, kinda put me off both beardie and d,hound to be stright with ya,i need dogs that are back as fast as they go as i cant help but stray myself on the od ocasion, did well on open feilds down here on hares, would have been a lot of peoples cuppa tea, nasty fecker tied to me trailer, not meny would fancy trying to get past him, same as the ones your mate saw, would never fully trust him with kids, Quote Link to post

Guest smashygadge
i read lurchers and longdogs when i first got my first lurcher ,and it stated that the old english sheep dog was crossed into many breeds of lurcher in the past .has anyone ever had one .own one or any info on this breed .id say the cross looks a lot like the beardie x but intrested to see if anyones had any experience many thanks MY FIRST LURCHER WAS A COLLIEX GREY AND THE BEST DOG IVE EVER SEEN/OWNED........I THINK OOTY HAS A CATTLE X NEVER SEEN A SHEEPDOG CROSS .......WOULD BE INTERESTING got acd in pup to a grey, and smashy knows the rest, dont think them dulux dogs got a lot of natural instingt in them these day mate, been messed up by show types, imo boarders from working stock are the way,the acd is still untryed by me but have high hopes not somthing i was planning mate ,and thats a very good piont regards them being bred more to a show breeding ,just somthing i was shocked to see .suppose it would be a very old lurcher man of days gone by that could really comment on that breeding.but certainly your acd x will surely have a lot going for it in the right hands would be my guess they would of more resembled the beadie way back in there working day.think they'v been bred to be bigger with longer coats to float round a ring these days,as have most beardies imo, yes they did ,showed alot of the beardie carracter looked alot like my dog i run now . was that dog acctually a sheep hearding dog of days gone bye? anyway just going for an hour to fill freezer lol flu and all must have a small freezer, you mean that bit at the top of the fridge? :whistling:should clear the snot at least.treat cold with cold my grt gran used to say, lived to 98 the cheek of it mate .i havent filled one and i have 3 freezers mate not a little box lol.like your grans, were all full but i keep getting these people who dont go out when its raining helping themselves lol. so anyway i made a start tonight with man flu and all, and ive had enough feel fecked.nice night out like Quote Link to post
