Hi guys, I have the above lamp with the 12 volt 7 amp battery, how long does it take to fully charge froma run down state? The reason I am asking is that in the instructions it say plug the battery into charger, the green light on it should start to dim and eventually go out when battery is fully charged but its now been 12 hours and shows no sign of the green light dimming, any help would be appreciative...thanks

ps......I have got the charger set to 12 volt by the way and the charger has an output of 500 ma

The strict maths of your situation says it will take 14 hours to fully charge a completely flat battery...but life isn't that simple, depends on the quality of the charger, and your 12v battery will deliver more than 12v when it is new (commonly 13.5-14v), and hold a charge better when it is new (actually after a few charge/discharge cycles).

It is suggested you continue to charge for approx 20% longer ..after the green light goes out....but do not go overboard!!

A very unscientific way to check when the battery it is well charged, is when the charger itself begins to cool down...not perhaps the best test in the world!!
